At the time I made this work I was interested in the shopping lists that get left behind in shopping trollies. They give a little insight into the domestic lives of strangers, what they were buying, who they were. Lists are often used as coping mechanisms. This work was about how many people have to cope with their problems yet still function in their role in life.
